11.1
De i denne konvention deltagende stater anerkender ethvert menneskes ret til en levefod, som er tilstrækkelig for vedkommende selv og vedkommendes familie, herunder passende ernæring, beklædning og bolig og til fortsat forbedring af vedkommendes levevilkår. De deltagende stater vil træffe passende foranstaltninger til at sikre virkeliggørelsen af denne ret, idet de anerkender, at internationalt samarbejde på frivilligt grundlag er af væsentlig betydning i denne henseende.

24.1
Deltagerstaterne anerkender barnets ret til at nyde den højest opnåelige sundhedstilstand, adgang til at få sygdomsbehandling og genoprettelse af helbredet. Deltagende stater skal stræbe mod at sikre, at intet barn fratages sin ret til adgang til at opnå sådan behandling og pleje.
24.2 Deltagerstaterne skal arbejde for fuld gennemførelse af denne ret og især tage passende forholdsregler for:

12.1
Everyone has the right to adequate nutrition which guarantees the possibility of enjoying the highest level of physical, emotional and intellectual development.
12.2
In order to promote the exercise of this right and eradicate malnutrition, the States Parties undertake to improve methods of production, supply and distribution of food, and to this end, agree to promote greater international cooperation in support of the relevant national policies.
15.3
The States Parties hereby undertake to accord adequate protection to the family unit and in particular:
15.3.a
To provide special care and assistance to mothers during a reasonable period before and after childbirth;
15.3.b
To guarantee adequate nutrition for children at the nursing stage and during school attendance years;
15.3.c
To adopt special measures for the protection of adolescents in order to ensure the full development of their physical, intellectual and moral capacities;

Everyone has the right to special protection in old age. With this in view the States Parties agree to take progressively the necessary steps to make this right a reality and, particularly, to:

Provide suitable facilities, as well as food and specialized medical care, for elderly individuals who lack them and are unable to provide them for themselves;

5.2
State Parties to the present Charter shall ensure, to the maximum extent possible, the survival, protection and development of the child.
14.2
State Parties to the present Charter shall undertake to pursue the full implementation of this right and in particular shall take measures:

States Parties shall take all appropriate measures to:

Ud over forpligtelserne i henhold til artikel 4 forpligter de ramte landeparter sig til:

De nationale handlingsprogrammer kan bl.a. omfatte nogle af eller alle følgende foranstaltninger til forebyggelse og afhjælpning af virkningerne af tørke:

oprettelse og/eller styrkelse af systemer for fødevaresikkerhed, herunder oplagrings- og afsætningsfaciliteter, især i landdistrikter
10.4
Under hensyntagen til de særlige forhold og behov, der gør sig gældende for hver af de ramte landeparter, omfatter de nationale handlingsprogrammer efter omstændighederne bl.a. foranstaltninger på nogle af eller alle følgende prioriterede områder i forbindelse med bekæmpelse af ørkendannelse og afhjælpning af virkningerne af tørke i de ramte områder og for deres befolkninger: fremme af alternative næringsveje og forbedring af det nationale økonomiske klima med henblik på styrkelse af programmer for fattigdomsbekæmpelse og øget fødevaresikkerhed; befolkningsdynamik; bæredygtig forvaltning af naturressourcer; bæredygtige landbrugsmetoder; udvikling og effektiv udnyttelse af forskellige energikilder; institutionelle og juridiske rammer; styrkelse af kompetencen inden for vurderinger og systematiske observationer, herunder hydrologiske og meteorologiske tjenester, og kapacitetsopbygning, uddannelse og folkeoplysning.
