Indicators 6.1.1 Proportion of population using safely managed drinking water services	Escazú Agreement Regional Agreement on Access to Information, Public Participation and Justice in Environmental Matters in Latin America and the Caribbean	5.3 Each Party shall facilitate access to environmental information for persons or groups in vulnerable situations, establishing procedures for the provision of assistance, from the formulation of requests through to the delivery of the information, taking into account their conditions and specificities, for the purpose of promoting access and participation under equal conditions.

Indicators 6.1.1 Proportion of population using safely managed drinking water services	Escazú Agreement Regional Agreement on Access to Information, Public Participation and Justice in Environmental Matters in Latin America and the Caribbean	5.4 Each Party shall guarantee that the above-mentioned persons or groups in vulnerable situations, including indigenous peoples and ethnic groups, receive assistance in preparing their requests and obtain a response.

Indicators 6.1.1 Proportion of population using safely managed drinking water services	Escazú Agreement Regional Agreement on Access to Information, Public Participation and Justice in Environmental Matters in Latin America and the Caribbean	6.1 Each Party shall guarantee, to the extent possible within available resources, that the competent authorities generate, collect, publicize and disseminate environmental information relevant to their functions in a systematic, proactive, timely, regular, accessible and comprehensible manner, and periodically update this information and encourage the disaggregation and decentralization of environmental information at the subnational and local levels. Each Party shall strengthen coordination between the different authorities of the State.

Indicators 6.1.1 Proportion of population using safely managed drinking water services	UNCCD UN Convention to Combat Desertification	2.1 The objective of this Convention is to combat desertification and mitigate the effects of drought in countries experiencing serious drought and/or desertification, particularly in Africa, through effective action at all levels, supported by international cooperation and partnership arrangements, in the framework of an integrated approach which is consistent with Agenda 21, with a view to contributing to the achievement of sustainable development in affected areas.
		6. Clean water and sanitation	6.1 By 2030, achieve universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water for all. Indicators 6.1.1 Proportion of population using safely managed drinking water services		UNCCD UN Convention to Combat Desertification	2.2 Achieving this objective will involve long-term integrated strategies that focus simultaneously, in affected areas, on improved productivity of land, and the rehabilitation, conservation and sustainable management of land and water resources, leading to improved living conditions, in particular at the community level.

Indicators 6.1.1 Proportion of population using safely managed drinking water services		UNCCD UN Convention to Combat Desertification	17.1 The Parties undertake, according to their respective capabilities, to promote technical and scientific cooperation in the fields of combating desertification and mitigating the effects of drought through appropriate national, subregional, regional and international institutions. To this end, they shall support research activities that:

In this respect, they shall take due account of the specific conditions of the persons belonging to national minorities.

Indicators 6.1.1 Proportion of population using safely managed drinking water services		Protocol of San Salvador Additional Protocol to the American Convention on Human Rights in the Area of Economic, Social and Cultural rights (Protocol of San Salvador)	11.1 Everyone shall have the right to live in a healthy environment and to have access to basic public services.
		6. Clean water and sanitation	6.1 By 2030, achieve universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water for all. Indicators 6.1.1 Proportion of population using safely managed drinking water services	ICESCR International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights	11.1 The States Parties to the present Covenant recognize the right of everyone to an adequate standard of living for himself and his family, including adequate food, clothing and housing, and to the continuous improvement of living conditions. The States Parties will take appropriate steps to ensure the realization of this right, recognizing to this effect the essential importance of international co-operation based on free consent.
		6. Clean water and sanitation	6.1 By 2030, achieve universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water for all. Indicators 6.1.1 Proportion of population using safely managed drinking water services		ICESCR International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights	12.1 The States Parties to the present Covenant recognize the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health.
		6. Clean water and sanitation	6.1 By 2030, achieve universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water for all. Indicators 6.1.1 Proportion of population using safely managed drinking water services		ICESCR International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights	12.2.b The improvement of all aspects of environmental and industrial hygiene;
		6. Clean water and sanitation	6.1 By 2030, achieve universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water for all. Indicators 6.1.1 Proportion of population using safely managed drinking water services	ACRWC African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child	14.2 State Parties to the present Charter shall undertake to pursue the full implementation of this right and in particular shall take measures:

In this regard, they shall take appropriate measures to:
